Waris Dirie: Desert Flower
On the occasion of the film, I read Waris Dirie's A utobiografie "Desert Flower" and wrote a detailed summary and a review. A short biography of Waris Dirie and an article on the female genital mutilation I have some time on my website.

Although the autobiography "Desert Flower" no sufficient literary standards is remarkable the book because it Waris Dirie has managed to sensitize the public to the world about genital mutilation.
